June 04, 2007

As temperatures reach their summer level, football season is surely not that far away. Lincoln County's first action will be in a scrimmage game on Thursday, August 23, in Greensboro.

The 2007 season will officially start August 31 when McCormick visits Buddy Bufford Field. Our Devils travel to Harlem September 7 and to Washington-Wilkes September 14.

After a week off, the Region 7-A schedule starts with Aquinas coming to The Bud September 28 and Monticello heading east to Lincolnton October 5.

Big Red visits Sparta October 12 to play Hancock Central, and travels again the following week to play at Wilkinson County. The toughest game of the region schedule may be in Lincolnton October 26 when loaded and well-coached Warren County visits.

Our Devils go back on the road November 2 for a long trip to Jeffersonville to play Twiggs County. The regular season concludes November 9 when GMC visits the home of the Red Devils.
