Devils #1 in Scoring Defense in Class A, Tied for 4th Overall

October 09, 2007

Lincoln County finished 2006 with the best scoring defense in all of Georgia high school football. This season looks to be another year of great Devil D.

With the regular season now past the midway point, Lincoln County leads all Class A teams by allowing just 1.8 points per game. Wilcox County is next, giving up 5.5 per game.

Coupled with a 35-point average score, our Devils are tied for second in Point Differential per game with 33.2. Wilcox leads Class A with 38. ECI leads Class A in offense with 44.7 points per game followed by Wilcox at 43.5.

Class AAA LaGrange and CLass AAAA Tucker lead the defensive rankings across the state, with neither team allowing a single point so far this year. Jenkins High in AAAAA has allowed 1.5 per game. Laney from Augusta has also given up just 1.8 per game, like our Devils.
