Family Reunions Can Be Dangerous!

August 18, 2008

Red Devil Head Coach Larry Campbell found out the hard way that family reunions can be dangerous.

It seems that, in July, "Coach" and his family had their annual family reunion near Abbeville, South Carolina. And as they normally do, we're told, the family members climb into a tree for a big family portrait.

This has never been a problem in the past. But, well, ...

Coach Campbell broke two bones in his ankle. Our source tells us he was first placed in a hard cast, and has now moved to a soft cast. He's been told to stay off the leg, but - hey - it's practice time.

Marshall Colvin (pictured) and Mike Frazier arranged with Augusta Turf & Tractor to provide a Gator for Coach Campbell and the Athletic Department for this coming season. (Our thanks to The Lincoln Journal for the photo and some info.)
