Class A: SCD Shocks Wilkinson County

Wilkinson County, ranked in the top 3 for the first time since the 1960s, was upset at home last night when Savannah Country Day won 29-22. The Hornets were led by QB Tate O'Connor who threw for 270 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Top-ranked Wesleyan whipped Walker 30-0, and Savannah Christian beat AAAAAA Jenkins 34-14, Thursday night.

Johnson County continued undefeated with a 52-20 win over Metter. Wilcox County returned to its winning ways with a 27-6 win over Bryan County.

Commerce, our Devils' next opponent, had the week off.

For other 7-A schools, Washington-Wilkes fell to AA Blessed Trinity 16-6. Warren County lost to Dooly County 12-8. Hancock Central lost to Monticello 21-6. Aquinas beat Georgia Military 14-0.

Thomson was shutout by Statesboro 13-0.
