Savannah Christian to Visit Lincolnton Friday In Quarterfinals

November 21, 2009

Savannah Christian, undefeated and ranked #2 in Class A for most of 2009, will visit Buddy Bufford Field Friday in a quarterfinal matchup. Kickoff is 7:30.

The location was determined by a coin toss Saturday morning since both schools were region champions. In a conference call between representatives of both schools and the GHSA, the Savannah Christian rep called tails, and the coin was heads up.

This will be the first meeting between the two schools. The Savannah school played in the GISA and won state titles in the private school league. It moved to GHSA starting with the 1988 season.
