Wilcox Upsets Wesleyan

Wilcox County drove 61 yards to score on a 22-yard pass with 5:06 left in the game to upset top-ranked and defending champ Wesleyan 20-15.

The loss ends the Wolves' 24-game winning streak. Wilcox County will travel to Homerville next Friday to take on the Clinch County. The Panthers outscored Holy Innocents 35-27 as both Atlanta-area private schools fell to public schools from south Georgia.

In another surprise, Darlington shutdown the high-powered Twiggs County offense, securing a 17-0 win in Rome. Darlington and Savannah Christian will meet in Rome in the other semifinal game.
