2010 Football Season Starts August 27 in Abbeville

February 16, 2010

Lincoln County's Red Devils will start their 2010 season in Abbeville August 27 as the two state powers meet again.

The 2010 schedule includes six away games with four at Buddy Bufford Field. The Abbeville game would normally be a home game, but the Panthers have offered the Lincoln County school system a significant fee to have the game played in Abbeville in 2010 and 2011. This year, Red Devil season ticket holders may use their tickets for the Abbeville game.

The Devils will roll into the Palmetto State again on September 3 to play McCormick, before visiting Harlem September 10. Greenbrier comes to Lincolnton September 17 for the Devils' home opener.

Big Red goes to Warrenton September 24 to open the Region 7-A schedule, with Hancock Central visiting BBF October 1 for Lincoln County's Homecoming. October 8 is an open date.

THe next battle in The 378 War will be in Lincolnton October 15 when Washington-Wilkes makes the quick jaunt from TigerTown. The Devils visit Aquinas October 22 and Twiggs County October 29. The regular season concludes November 5 when Wilkinson County visits for Senior Night.
