Two of Top 3 Most Prolific GA Prep Coaches Have Red Devil Ties

April 24, 2010

Only 10 men have coached 400 or more high school football games in Georgia. The current Red Devil coach and a Red Devil player/assistant are first and third on that list.

Larry Campbell with 515 games coached in 38 seasons leads the auspicious list, with Dan Pitt's 459 games (39 years) coached third. Thomson coach Luther Welsh is second with 477 games coached; that total does not include games when he was a head coach in South Carolina.
