Events continue to progress on how small school football will look next fall.
The GHSA has added an item to its January 10 Executive Committee meeting agenda that, if approved, would apparently split all Class A playoffs into public and private brackets, with two champions being named in each group. That plan was initially approved last October before a re-vote a few minutes later killed the plan. Several Class A schools seem to indicate this plan would satisfy their concerns. Meanwhile, the organizing committee for the group that is contemplating withdrawing from the GHSA has decided on a tentative name for the orgnazation (GPSA - Georgia Public Schools Association) and some bylaw differences compared to the GHSA.
