And then there were three. Public schools in the GHSF Daily Class A Top 10, that is.

Eagles Landing Christian Academy remained the #1 team after pounding Hapeville Charter 68-6. Landmark Christian, ranked second, had a tougher time, edging Mount Paran Christian 14-7.

Our Red Devils remained at #3 during their off-week.

Aquinas and Savannah Christian, also off, remained fourth and fifth.

Sixth-ranked George Walton Academy beat Holy Innocents 35-14. Prince Avenue Christian, #7, was off before playing Glascock County this Friday.

Eighth-ranked Seminole County beat Clinch County for the first time in 11 meetings. Seminole plays undefeated Pelham this week.

Ninth-ranked Irwin County beat East Laurens 35-14. Irwin plays 0-2 Wilkinson County this week.

Another public school rounded out the top 10: Pace Academy. Pace faces First Presbyterian (0-2) this week.

Washington-Wilkes moved up one to #5 in Class AA after slugging Warren County 41-14. The Tigers led 41-7 at the half.
