Literary Team Wins Class A State Title for Second Straight Year

From The Lincoln Journal: The LCHS Literary Team was named the Class A state champion for the second consecutive year at the state literary meet held Saturday, March 16, at Northside High School in Warner Robins.

LCHS handily won the meet with a total of 24 points. The winner is the team scoring the most points overall in the various individual competitions.

Second place went to Buford High School and Gainesville's Lakeview Academy, who were tied with 16 points each.

"Words truly cannot express the thrill and pride of watching these young people win back-to-back state championships," said June Cox, literary coordinator at LCHS and coach for the literary writing events."
