Cheer Devils Ignite "Red 2 the Bone"

From The Lincoln Journal -- The LCHS Varsity Cheerleaders or Cheer Devils made a good showing at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Cheerleading Camp held July 22-25 at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. During the camp, the girls joined 20 middle school, junior varsity, and varsity cheerleading squads from Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina to learn new cheers, chants, dances, and stunts. ... The LCHS squad won the first-place trophy in the competition along with an invitation to perform at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, in December. The "Cheer Devils" also won the coveted "Spirit Stick" every night and brought home numerous superior ribbons for cheer, change, and dance evaluations. In addition to the overall squad honors, four LCHS cheerleaders were name camp All-Stars. They were Crystal Harper, Rachel McCall, Johnda Bennett, and Jaeda Bennett. The All-Star designation is bestowed on those cheerleaders and dancers displaying outstanding abilities in the areas of leadership, technique, showmanship, and so forth. The girls received medals and an invitation to perform in London, England. ... In order to inspire school and community spirit and determination, the cheerleaders have adopted the theme "Bad 2 the Bone" for the 2003-2004 school year. ... The Cheerleader booster club, know as the Pep Partners, will be selling various spirit items at all of the home football games this year. The list includes stadium seats, license plates, cheerleader uniforms for children, "Red 2 the Bone" T-shirts, boas, umbrellas, stocking caps, and limited-edition Coca-Cola bottles commemorating Coach Larry Campbell's record-breaking 347th win on the football field.
