Chronicle area All-Georgia Team: Clark as QB, Beard as LB

Post-season honors have arrived for some of Lincoln County's finest. The Georgia Sports Writers Association has named their all-state teams for each of the 5 classes. In Class A, junior Jarius Wynn was cited as offensive lineman, senior Josh Beard as linebacker, and senior Travis Clark as punter. Steven Brown was named on the all-state honorable mention list. And click here for the "All-Quiz Team" from our buddy Quizzy; we think his selections are much better than GSWA or AJC!!

Travis was named by The Augusta Chronicle as their first-team All-Georgia Quarterback, considering his 1700+ yards and 17 TDs. Josh Beard, called "a ferocious player" by the Chronicle, was cited as a first-time linebacker. Making the Chronicle's second team were wide-receiver Steven Brown and offensive lineman Jarius Wynn, both returning in 2004.  Receiving Honorable Mention were Octavius Andrews, Drum Long, and Alex Wideman.
