Drum Long Commits to UT-Martin

February 20, 2004

Drum Long, Lincoln County's lanky linebacker and tight end, has committed to play football for the Skyhawks of the University of Tennessee at Martin. He officially signed February 20.

Martin is located in northwest Tennessee, near the junction of Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas. The 1-AA school has an enrollment of 6,000 and competes in the Ohio Valley Conference.

On National Signing Day, UTM inked 16 players from eight states, including two from Marietta.

And something to look forward to later this year. Gregory Murray advised us that Steven Brown, Alex Wideman, and Jarius Wynn are on the list of top Georgia prep recruits for 2005!! Alex is listed as a "sleeper" prospect for UGA and others.
