Devil JV Ties Harlem 6-6

September 26, 2004

Lincoln County's Junior Varsity visited Harlem last Thursday in search of another win, but left with a tie with the Harlem Bullpuppies.

The Red Devil defense contiued its dominance on the year, giving up only 6 points in the game on a long pass, while stopping the Harlem running game. Facing 1st and goal, LC's defense stepped up and stopped Harlem's attempt at a second TD and blocked a FG attempt late in the game to keep the score knotted at 6-6.

The lone Red Devil touchdown came on a Rontae Norman scamper in the 1st quarter. Our Junior Devils had a passing TD from Rontae Norman to Jatheus Jones called back due to an illegal block.

The Red Devil offense looked good at times, but could not get back across the goal line when they needed to to win the game.

This week is a bye week before the Junior Varsity looks to end their season with a big win at Greenbrier in two weeks.
