Literary Team Finishes Second at State

The LCHS Literary Team finished second at the Class A State Literary Meet last month, with the following team members placing well:

Laney Turner - State Class A Champion, Girls Extemporaneous Speaking
Abigail Minor - State Class A Runner Up, Girls Spelling
Kellen O'Neill - State Class A Runner Up, Girls Dramatic Interpretation
David Ball - State Class A 4th Place, Boys Dramatic Interpretation
Peyson Moss - State Class A 4th Place, Boys Solo
Raphael Albea, Peyson Moss, Brandon Reed, Jeff Wright - State Class A 4th Place, Boys Solo

Lincoln County captured the 2005 Region 7-A Literary Championship with great work by the following team members:

Boys Dramatic Interpretation - David Ball, 1st Place
Girls Dramatic Interpretation - Kellen O'Neill, 1st Place
Boys Essay - Nick Bayazes, 1st Place
Girls Essay - Beth Tuten, 1st Place
Boys Extemporaneous Speaking - Ross Waters, 1st Place
