Dr. Hilton Named Girls Basketball Coach

Dr. Roderick Hilton has been named the new Girls Basketball Coach at Lincoln County High School.

Coach Hilton was the heach coach at Treutlen High in Soperton from 2002 through 2005, leading the Vikings to three straight state tournaments. Married to former LCHS cheerleader Shearice Crite, he moved to Lincolnton last year and coached the midget-mite and junior varsity girls teams.

Coach Hilton completed degree requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in education leadership in educational administration specialization from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last year. He is a 1991 graduate of Burke County Comprehensive High School and a 1997 graduate of Mercer University. He received his masters degree from Georgia College & State University in 2001 and 2003. In addition, he is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
