Why and How This Website is Provided

This website is provided to celebrate the proud heritage of high school football in Lincoln County, Georgia.

This website is owned and maintained by Johnny A. Walton, a 1979 graduate of LCHS. I grew up in downtown Lincolnton, and trace my heritage back several generations in Lincoln County.

I've kept sideline play-by-play since 1976, and am told I attended my first Red Devil game at the ripe old age of two weeks in October 1961.



This website, begun in July 2000, is a continuation of our efforts to document and publicize our proud history. We try to include items of interest about Lincolnton and Lincoln County that are not just football related.

This website is currently hosted by LunarPages in San Diego, California. Most content is hosted within a MySQL database using php for the pages. Some content is also provided in Adobe Flash. In 2009 we've added a presence on Facebook and Twitter.
